“I am pleased to collaborate with Convictus for several reasons: first, their social workers engage those disadvantaged clients who wouldn’t come to the hospital without their support. Convictus workers do their best to motivate clients to take care of their health. They remove fear and distrust to “people in the white coats”. Second, by carrying out preventive raids on the Mobile clinic, Convictus and we reach to those clients who come to the hospital after avoiding treatment for a long time, which makes it even more difficult. I have the opportunity to conduct testing in quality equipped place, which becomes like a bridge between a doctor and a patient. Third, the group most at risk in 2014 had the opportunity to receive free medicine for the treatment of STIs, they were happy to take care of their health and their loved ones”
“Hello, Anna, Petro and colleagues in Convictus! Greetings from Brighton, Great Britain! Thank you so much for the demonstration of highly coordinated work of the Center for drug users in Kyiv. It was pleasant to meet you and find out more about how important your work is. I came back to my office feeling so inspired, full of energy and dedicated”.
"Convictus does a lot of work in Kyiv overall and in Podil district in particular. They do so many good deeds. They help those who lost their track in life, those who had become subdued to addiction, those who had chosen sex work. Because commercial sex-workers usually keep secret on what they do for living, they have no chance to receive appropriate support from their families or friends. This is what they come to our Consulting center for sex workers for. It is very important that Convictus employees never stay aside from those people, who are infected with HIV. Doing so, they do everything they can to stop the epidemic in Ukraine. I wish Convictus great success and strength in their work!"
