An Effective Response to the Tuberculosis Epidemic in Ukraine: Joining the Efforts of the State and Public Organizations (Yevheniia Kuvshynova)

During the COVID-19 pandemic, NGOs that have been implementing HIV, TB prevention and support services for years can provide significant support to the state and contribute to overcoming the effects of the pandemic and the economic crisis. Now more than ever, it is essential to accumulate the efforts of the state and non-governmental organizations working in combating HIV and tuberculosis to maintain the achievements in this field, prevent the treatment interruption, and reduce tuberculosis and HIV detection.

For three years in a row, Convictus Ukraine has been a member of the Partnership Secretariat “Stop TV. Ukraine”. Together with other active members, seeks to develop cooperation between organizations and institutions that are somehow involved in the fight against tuberculosis in Ukraine. This year we set ourselves several new tasks, including strengthening partnerships with the journalistic community, opinion leaders.
