“Civil society organizations play an important role for the future of Ukraine”, – Yevheniia Kuvshynova, Executive Director of AUCO “Convictus-Ukraine”
The Executive Director of AUCO “Convictus Ukraine” had a conversation with Neven Milivojevic, a Swedish friend of the organization, who has been promoting Convictus Ukraine for many years. They talked about the war in Ukraine, its impact on the provision of services to vulnerable groups and the organization’s plans after the victory.
Despite the fact that some cities around Kyiv have been completely destroyed, and the city itself is suffering from shelling, part of our team has remained in Kyiv and the region and continues to provide services and support to our customers and all those who need it. In addition to classic services, we provide food, hygiene products, help with drug delivery. We also support hospitals and help with evacuations.
As many of our clients have left Kyiv, we provide them with services in other regions of Ukraine. In the western part of our country, we continue to work on programs to combat gender-based violence and discrimination.
We have successfully reformatted our services, we are working to attract assistance to meet the basic needs of our customers and Ukrainians in general.
We, as a civil society organization, understand that our work is critical. We will continue to promote democracy, human rights and equality in our country.
We are now working and doing our best to help the vulnerable populations and achieve victory in this war.
