June 21, 2018 in the premises of the Kiev Regional State Administration held a regular meeting of the working group on the implementation of activities for the rehabilitation of children with disabilities, the funds of the regional and state budgets at the Department of Social Protection of Population under the regional state administration. The meeting was started by the chairman of the working group, the director of the department of social protection of the population, Igor Meshchan, who emphasized the importance of the implementation of the Kyiv Oblast Targeted Program of Social Support, which is being implemented in the Kiev region for people with disabilities for 2017-2020. The program is approved by the decision of the Kiev Regional Council of June 22, 2017 № 346-15-VI, whose purpose is to compensate for the rehabilitation services for children with disabilities with diseases of Children’s cerebral palsy.

Participation in the meeting was hosted by: Lyudmila Shpak – the head of the regional children’s “Kyiv Regional Children’s Hospital”, Alla Melnik – project manager for work with teenagers and youth of the UCO “Convictus  Ukraine”, as well as employees of the Department of Social Protection of the population on regional state administration.

The meeting discussed issues of the implementation of compensation payments for the rehabilitation of children with disabilities in rehabilitation institutions of various forms of property within the framework of the Kyiv Regional Targeted Program of Social Support in the Kyiv Region for People with Disabilities for 2017-2020. Also, referring children with disabilities to the course of rehabilitation in accordance with the Procedure for using the funds provided for in the state budget for the implementation of activities for the rehabilitation of disabled children approved by the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of 20.06.2012 № 522.
