Convictus Ukraine started cooperation with the community-based initiative groups in Kyiv region

Convictus Ukraine is now even closer to people. We started cooperating with community-based initiative groups in Kyiv region and provide them with targeted support within the project “Integrated Humanitarian Response in Conditions of War and Post-War Reconstruction.”

The applicants have been selected using a competitive process and have already started implementing their initiatives.

We are happy to present the selected organizations and their goals aimed at covering the needs of people in different areas of life.

Dopomoha Blyzhnyomu NGO is implementing a social project called “Clothing Bank” to support the families affected by the russian aggression. The goal of the project is to provide clothes to IDPs and equip a laundry room. The organization needs telescopic legs, hangers, shoe racks, washing machines, and garbage cans. The mini-grant provided within this project will allow the applicant to procure the necessary equipment so that IDPs can feel warm and comfortable in their community as if they were at home.

The Hora community will be able to clean 20 wells thanks to the initiative of the Cooperation and Partnership NGO. The whole community takes water from wells, which are the sources of centralized water supply. During the war, when there is a need to think about alternative sources of drinking water, this project is especially relevant. That is why community wells need cleaning and careful maintenance.

The community of Zhorniv together with the Vershyna-1 NGO are working on developing the local infrastructure. Together, they decided to build a well on the territory of the Zhorniv club to provide water supply to the club building, which was lacking, and to the surrounding areas. Over time, every step in improving the life of the community contributes to the quality of life of local residents.

Those projects are being launched and make their first steps in improving the life of communities.  We will be keeping you updated and sharing their successes.
