Myths about tuberculosis. Why we still believe in them: Apostrophe TV

On March 24, a special Apostrophe Health video dedicated to the World TB Day was presented on Apostrophe TV.

Topic: Myths about tuberculosis. Why we still believe in them. The video was quite intense and covered a lot of topics related to the myths about TB in general as well as its treatment, diagnostics, vaccination, and support of the international partners.

The visiting guest, Deputy Director of the USAID project “Support TB Control Efforts in Ukraine” told about the tools that Ukraine uses to fight TB and about previously developed mechanisms that help effectively diagnosing and treating patients during the war. Also, Olga talked about the most widespread myths about TB.

Psychologist Vladyslav Zubchenko explained why it is easier for people to accept myths than to engage in critical thinking.

Yurii Gamazin, Medical Director of the USAID project to implement innovations in TB care in Ukraine, OATH NGO shared information about the new BPaL treatment regimen in Ukraine.

Kyrylo Stekhin, Director of the USAID project to implement innovations in TB care in Ukraine, OATH NGO told that their organization has been implementing innovations in the TB care in Ukraine for over 10 years and that the BPaL project is supported by  the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
