Team of psychologists of the #SOSChildren project in Dniprovsky district of Kyiv
Our psychologists offering support to people affected by the war are working in the Dniprovsky district of Kyiv as part of the #SOSChildren project. We would like to tell you more about them.
Liudmila Burtseva works with families who have relocated from “hotspots” and who experience a lot of stress as they had to leave their homes. She helps those families to adapt and to accept changes in their lives. Liudmila believes that helping a person or a family is an important contribution to the joint Victory of Ukrainians.
Svitlana Hunych applies various methods and tools to provide consultations to people seeking help. Her efforts are focused on the clients who had to leave their hometowns, lost their loved ones, their houses; women whose husbands are now defending Ukraine. Some people literally have to learn how to start their life in a new place from scratch, rebuilding their own selves and their values. Svitlana stays with her clients throughout the whole process of their recovery and their new start in life.
Daria Kyptach mostly works with the people from Donetsk region who experience fears, are unable to adapt in new places, face unemployment and constant distress. She helps her clients overcome these negative experiences and stabilize their emotional state.
Natalia Petrovska is confident that the psychological state of people is of great importance in the times of war. Vulnerable populations should be able to receive all the necessary help, in particular mental health support. Most often, Natalia works with people from Donetsk and Luhansk regions who have mental health problems after all the stress they had to experience.
