Employees of the Svyatoshinsky district department of the branch of the Center “Probation” in the city of Kiev and the Kiev region have improved their knowledge of of chemical dependence. Coach became Eugene Sklyarenko, manager of the HIV prevention group among risk groups in Kyiv ( “Convictus Ukraine”).

Discussion of chemical dependence lasted more than an hour. During the lecture the following questions were considered:

✓ Prerequisites for the onset of the disease. Narcosts in Ukraine and in the world;

✓ Rehabilitation of drug addicts. Effective ways to treat addiction;

✓ Coexistence. Its manifestations in relatives of people who use drugs;

✓ Preventive work of public and charitable organizations in overcoming the chemical dependence;

✓ Features and preconditions for the professional burnout of people working with drug addicts;

✓ Tolerant attitude towards representatives of vulnerable groups.

Training “Chemical dependence. Formation of tolerant attitude and empathy towards vulnerable groups ” was organized by  Convictus Ukraine   within the frame work of the PITCH project (administered by  the Alliance of Public Health).
